NoShitThereIWas 0 #1 December 3, 2003 Here is the post of a very unhappy Sprint PCS customer. I would not recommend signing up with Sprint PCS if you are someone who likes and appreciates good customer service. They sent me my bill which I paid promptly on time and then promptly turned off my cell phone service. After calling every phone # on my bill for customer service you cannot get a hold of a "Live" person, just a stupid message recording which doesn't help you solve the problem which is very frustrating. Finally I look them up on Google to try and find other numbers where I can speak to a live person. All I seem to come across are the stories of others who have posted how awful their experiences were with Sprint Customer Service and I am like great, I have a 2 year contract with these people???? I finally get a hold of someone at a store and she tells me to call the same numbers I was calling and to punch in a phony phone number and hit pound. I do that and the system hangs up on me . To make a long story short, after going through pure hell just to finally straighten the problem out I realize that I can not change service cause I have a contract until July 2005 . SkydiveNFlorida 0 #3 December 3, 2003 That sucks! This is why I refuse to sign up for anything for more than 1 year. I have t-mobile, and I originally ordered 1000 mins a month. I decided I only needed 600 mins, so switched to cheaper plan. they had to re-date my contract, but at least I have a cheaper plan now. And, it is easy to talk to someone. I used to have Cingular and with them you could switch your plan without renewing I think. Thanks for the heads up with Sprint. Angela.
vdschoor 0 #4 December 3, 2003 I only signed a one year contract, and was willing to sign up for another year (maybe two) if they gave me a new phone. They didn't want to, since I only had my old one for less than 18 months.. allright.. I'll go somewhere else then! he he.. Went with T-Mobile, much nicer phones and coverage here in the Bay Area is pretty good. In fact my phone works much better at the DZ than it used to.. although I am not sure if that is a good thing Iwan
skybytch 273 #5 December 3, 2003 Really? I've had Sprint PCS for over 6 months now. I've been able to reach a "live person" within 10 minutes every time I've called from my cell - just dialed #2. My son has PCS too and has also had no major issues. 10 minutes is less time than it used to take me to get to a "live person" when dealing with Verizon residential service back in California... RevJim 0 #8 December 4, 2003 I'm with you Lisa. I've had Sprint for about 2 years, and just signed another 2 year with them. the service isn't great up here in Wisconsin, but it is top notch for me when I'm over the road. Basically everywhere I went for Waggoneers I had a signal, with the exception of far west Texas, and a good chunk of Utah. Those are no big deal though, since nodody else I know of covers those areas AND the rest of the US. Sprint service is basically available as long as you're on an interstate highway, like I am most of the time. It's your life, live it! crapflinger2000 1 #9 December 4, 2003 Verizon is the shit. Reasonable rates NO problems with cust svc (even after being late on a payment or two). Phone was never cut off. skydyvr 0 #10 December 4, 2003 Sprint customer service plainly sucks! But they have the best coverage in the Denver area, so we keep them anyway. . . =(_8^(1)

AnnieB 0 #12 December 4, 2003 Tom and I both have Verizon. We just signed new 2 year contracts because it came with new phones. I love the customer service. Everytime I've had to call they either answer my question or address my concern at that moment or call me back within an hour or so. They're also full of great tips...here are a couple #1 call for voice mail messages from a land line. That way you don't chew up your air time retrieving messages #2 re-do the roam sequence on a periodic basis. McDuck 0 #13 December 4, 2003 The bad news? They're all like that, if not in customer service, then in their billing systems. I vowed NEVER to own another cell phone after a brief employment stint at another cellular provider (terminated by ME), after providing over $75,000 in credit authorization forms for over billing on customer accounts...and that was just in one week! I'm having nothing to do with cellular until I OWN a cellular company. ypelchat 0 #14 December 4, 2003 QuoteHere is the post of a very unhappy Sprint PCS customer. Thanks for allowing me to vent. This reminds me of my problems with USPS/Canada Post, when they lost my Cypres, back in march of last year......... Never heard of USPS since........ My Cypres was lost when it was sent back to me, after the required maintenance was performed on it by SSK. Because of what happened with my Cypres, and all the problems we've encountered with USPS/Canada Post, SSK has advised it's Canadian customers, to ship their Cypres units UPS, instead of using Canada Post/USPS. As of this day, I've yet to hear about USPS, regarding my lost Cypres. (I've had several phone conversations with Canada Post representatives, regarding this incident.) No matter how hard we tried, (Karen Dean of SSK, and I) We've never been able to talk to a single USPS representative. We're always greeted by tons of automated messages, and not a single human being to talk to.......... Please be advised: You think Sprint customer service is bad..............Well......... try USPS! If you insure your USPS packages, it's worth nothing. You just pay more, for nothing. Securing insurance for your USPS packages, is worth nothing. SSK has since replaced my lost Cypres, with a unit about the same age. Thanks Karen! Karen told me that SSK has never collected any amount of money from USPS, regarding this incident, even if the package was sent to me, fully insured. Outstanding customer service is a rarity these days. So far, I've dealt with only two companies, that have outstanding customer service: 1: Larsen & Brusgaard (Pro-Track - Pro-Dytter) 5 stars! 2: Digi-Key (Electronic parts reseller. They're also selling the CR2330 batteries, used in the Pro-Track - Pro-Dytter) 5 stars too! With these two companies, I'd do business, every day of the week! Yves. Gawain 0 #15 December 4, 2003 QuoteVerizon is the shit. Reasonable rates NO problems with cust svc (even after being late on a payment or two). Phone was never cut off. Excellent coverage Same here. Hell, they even called me once when I was on the road and was racking up roaming charges. They say an average cell bill is somewhere between $35-60/mo (avg "Joe" type stuff). I know for a fact that VZ maintains a monthly revenue average for each customer. Last time I looked over a clerks shoulder, mine was somewhere north of $300. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! Plus i even talked to the person at the store into giving me my very expensive phone for free. (sometimes it rocks to have boobs) ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! SkymonkeyONE 4 #17 December 4, 2003 All you have to do to get ahold of a "real" person on the #2 connection is press the number to hear options in english, then when the automated voice asks how it may help you, simply say: "I would like to speak to a human being." This will immediately prompt you to the que for actual customer service folks. I just got through to them in under two minutes while standing in The Perfect Spot at DeLand. This, so that I could change to the 7:00 pm evening deal. Chuck
jumpdoc 0 #18 December 4, 2003 We are switching to Verizon when our Cingular contract runs out in April...I've ben through most cell phone carriers in the past few years...there was a civil suit brought against Sprint in the DC area about five years ago and I was promised a new phone...which didn't work and I had to pay to replace. Now we are with Cingular and they just sold my husband a $200 phone with a promise of cash back rebate (we sent in the rebate form and they sent us a nice letter telling us we didn't qualify), and then told us that his phone...hell, neither of our phones will work with the NEW system they are implementing next year and that we will have to BUY new phones for full price...Did I mention that my husband has had his new phone for 2 1/2 months? I AM SO SICK OF cell phone companies and their contracts and lack of customer service that I just want to throw my cell phone out the window. Of course, my husband travels 8 months a year and uses his phone all the time...just seems that if I am paying $200/month for service, I should get some service...hey, this venting stuff is GOOD! Stacy 0 #19 December 4, 2003 T mobile has been great. Iv'e never waited more than 2 mintues for a human, and none of those annoying phone tree things to get to someone. I wanted to upgrade my phone and they gave me a sweet discount on one. They've also randomly given me extra minutes for being a loyal customer. My only complaint is service availability in some bumblefrick towns, but my new phone has capabilities for 911 calls even when i can't make regular calls, so rock on. ;c)
bean 0 #20 December 4, 2003 I work for a major phone company and just want to let you all know, NEVER let them bully you into signing a new contract when you make a small change to your existing plan. They tried to tell me my contract auto-renewed when a credit was applied or I changed my service level. I told them to send me a copy of the signed contract or change the date back. Guest #21 December 4, 2003 Oh, man, here we go again! Once more, I bought a used hybrid (Audiovox CDM-4000 analog/digital) phone off eBay for $8 + $5 shipping , got it activated on Verizon Wireless' "Free-Up" pre-pay plan ($30 for 120 minutes good for 60 days, pay a you go). It costs about $15/month, with NO "CONTRACT". Note: Verizon can activate a LOT of different phones for this service. Pretty much any last-generation digital or hybrid cell phone should work - you can call Verizon and give them the make & model and they'll tell you whether or not it will work, but the answer is most likely "yes". And Verizon Wirelss has OUTSTANDING customer service. As a cell phone consumer, you have a lot of choices. Don't get suckered into those stupid "contracts" with shitty providers. You have rights as a consumer. The first and foremost is the right NOT to get screwed. mh QuoteHere is the post of a very unhappy Sprint PCS customer. If you have a problem with your phone and take it to the store, the sales reps and customer service reps will take as long as you need to solve your problem, even if there are some potential sales waiting, they will solve your problem if they can.A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All
