chopchop 0 #1 December 5, 2003 every time you notice there is a new thread in "Incidents"? I do.. Every time I see that number indicating there is one or more new threads in there, I hold my breath until I find out what it is.. and then, hopefully, I let it out with relief, like today when someone put a "hard pull" in there. What a relief that that is all it is.. Shouldn't stuff like that go in Safety and Training? I don't know.. I'm not sure what the rules are but man, it churns up such emotions whenever I see a new thread in there.. seems like hard pulls and low pulls and 2 outs and line twists should not be in the same place as broken bones, paralizations and deaths. Then again, maybe it's just me. huh... look at that.. a serious post by me.. who'd a thunk it? chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. turtlespeed 226 #2 December 5, 2003 Maybe there should be a malfunctions catagory.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
skymama 37 #3 December 5, 2003 Yes, that thread should be moved. We have had discussions in the Team Room about this very subject. I'm sure if you all want to make suggestions on this thread that Sangiro will take your thoughts into account. There's a fine line between what to keep and what to throw out. Do we really want a Fatality forum on the site? PhillyKev 0 #7 December 5, 2003 I think it has to do with the name, "incidents". Yeah, that's the nice way to put it. But most of us when we think of an "incident" are thinking about something that will probably make you cry if it happened to one of your friends. Others see incidents as any malfunction or mistake. Maybe a little more active movement of stuff to S&T by mods would keep it a little cleaner?
sunshine 2 #8 December 5, 2003 All the plane crashes that get posted don't belong in incidents IMO either. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!

Do we really want a Fatality forum on the site? Seeing numbers just in there really would be depressing. As much as I agree with chopchop that "it's much nicer to see no new threads at logon" I don't stress until I see Bad Words in the subject line. I think of the Incidents forum as a global "AIM" report. The existing posting guideline is satisfactory and the threads have been well moderated, IMHO. I suppose you could create a third category to fit between Incidents and S&T (ie: split this one into major and minor). I don't think the volume of reports necessitates this split though.
