dkf1979 0 #1 December 7, 2003 http://www.abcinfonet.com/snadealernorthernontario/ Do u need a pilot's license for something like this? I was also wondering what kind of glider it makes. If your little engine goes kaputs up in the sky if it makes a good glider to make it back safely. All in all, how difficult are they to fly? And I'm guessing you really don' t want to fly it unless conditions are ideal i would guess. I want one.http://bodypilot.bounceme.net
jerry81 10 #2 December 7, 2003 Replace "make it back" with "make it down", and the answer might be yes. (Although I just noticed that thing has a wing area of 155 sq. ft. and a stall speed of 40mph. That's bigger than my main and faster than our jump plane, respectively!)
pilotdave 0 #3 December 8, 2003 155 square foot wing is pretty big for such a small plane. I fly 4 seaters with 140 sq ft wings (loaded at about 19 lb/sq ft) I don't know the rules in canada, but in the US, that wouldn't qualify as a part 103 ultralight so you would need a pilots license to fly it. jerry81 10 #4 December 8, 2003 On second thought; Duh, of course it's bigger than my main! Who'd have thought? I'm still curious how it glides, though.
