Big XII and the BCS

I'm laughing. For one, K-State dropped some sack and beat OU (which was amazing to watch).

Know what that means? K-state is going to a BCS bowl (since they won Big XII), OU is going to a BCS bowl due to BCS standings. Know how many teams get to go to a BCS bowl from a confrence?

Two.

Thus, t.u. is no longer allowed to go to a BCS bowl, even though they would have if OU beat K-state.

The Aggies may not have had a good year, but I still like to laugh at t.u. when things dont' go their way.

Does anyone else feel like the BCS is a farce ? I'm no fan of USC, and I'm thrilled we get to play them in the Rose Bowl.......but it's crazy that they finished #1 in BOTH polls, and only 3rd in the BCS.

I'm hoping a playoff system is established after all the current Bowl contracts expire.....but I'm not holding my breath.

getting a play off is simple. The bowls work solely as a money making machine...PERIOD.

If everyone stops watching the bowls, stops going to the bowls and demand a playoff...we'll get it.

Think that's going to happen?

I watched the OU/K-state game sat nite and I was very impressed. K-state stepped up to the plate big time and whipped some major sooner ass.

And yeah - it pretty damn funny the 'horns got knocked outta the BCS too!
(I'm no fan of Mack Brown...that fo damn sure, so anytime he gets screwed I'm happy).
