StearmanR985 0 #1 December 8, 2003 So, my wife meets me out at the DZ yesterday afternoon to finally watch me do a jump. Unfortunately she had missed all of my AF's and my first solo, she was both excited and nervous about finally getting to watch me. Anyhow, the jump ends up being picture perfect and she got to see me, Ed, and Pablo while we were in freefall too. As usual though, she was in a hurry and left before I did. Two minutes later I get "THE CALL", she was just in an accident ONE MILE DOWN THE ROAD. To make it short, nobody is hurt Later that evening I told Lorrie that she is no longer allowed to go watch me jump. It is simply too unsafe for her!!! This begs the question though "Is it indeed more dangerous driving to and from the DZ then actually jumping?" Hell, we only live 8 miles away from it and look what happened....... Jeff Oh yeah, I would like to thank the Lodi skydivers that checked on us to make sure we were OK as they were on their way home.

dropoutdave 0 #3 December 8, 2003 I've written off 2 cars in 3 months! Neither of which were my fault, people just have a tendancy to want to crash into the side of my car and pull out in front of me. No really serious injuries or anything though. I am a safe driver but since having the accidents I really don't trust anyone on the road. ------------------------------------------------------ May Contain Nut traces...... My wife and I used to poke fun at "dumbasses" that pulled out in front of others (happened to me once in the past). Now we can't say a word, my wife was the quilty party here. She feels absolutely awfull Be safe Dropout, Jeff

dropoutdave 0 #8 December 8, 2003 I'm guilty of the poking fun at people who pull out in front of you. No doubt I'll slip up and do it to someone else and will have to eat my words but hey, such is life. I'm not meant to drive, im meant to fly. When I crashed my first car, it was a mini that was a restoration project and needed a new front end on it, I got out the car and thanked the guy who pulled out in front of me because he saved me a fortune. I thought it was hilarious, then realised my shoulder hurt. ------------------------------------------------------ May Contain Nut traces......
