Cudlo 0 #1 December 11, 2003 I saw this in the paper. The University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana has a molecule they are testing that has in lab experiments attacked and killed cancer cells (leukemia(sp?) and lymphoma(sp?)) while not harming white cells collected from a rat. They are hoping they can track down the exact protein that this molecule is attacking in cancer cells while leaving the white cells unharmed. Blueskies, Charlie 40 years ago it was interferon, then it was... etc. etc. I'll get excited when it's available on prescription.... I wonder when Al Sharpton Farrakhan will come out against this racism. Engineering substances that leave white cells unharmed? Just like AIDS, the government is attempting to eliminate the non-white cells.. Fight tha man!!! My wife is hotter than your wife.
flyangel2 2 #8 December 11, 2003 Quote40 years ago it was interferon, then it was... etc. etc. I'll get excited when it's available on prescription. John, for those of us in the mist of this battle, we get excited. Yeah, I've heard about some of the newest drugs before, heck, I'm still on some of the experimental drugs. Are they working? Maybe, but we'll never know unless we try. I try them not only for myself, but for the people I can help in the future. I for one will continue to try, and not give up when they come out with something new. I admit, it is disheartening when something doesn't work, but that doesn't mean I don't get excited when I hear about some thing new to try. To me that means that the doctors and scientist aren't giving up on me.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view.
