RoadRash 0 #2 December 11, 2003 No fruitcakes are allowed? Does that mean I can't board the plane? For many this holiday season, I'll bet they are relieved that Aunt so-and-so can't bring the fruitycake, but Parachutes not allowed!!! F*ck them!!! Just my $ 0.02...~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Fly the friendly skies...^_^...})ii({...^_~...
PhillyKev 0 #3 December 11, 2003 Quoteapparently parachutes aren't welcome either And that's from the head of Canadian TSA. Sucks for you guys, or any of us travelling up there. Is your equivalent of USPA doing anything to help you out with this up there?
kingbunky 3 #4 December 11, 2003 i don't own a rig as of yet, but i plan on asking around and seeing what kind of luck others in town have had.. kind of came as a surprise to me to read that. i figured it would be the same as the states, come prepared to check it if you have to."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." DJatLarge 0 #11 December 11, 2003 I think everyone should pack up their old fruitcakes and then get them taken away by the TSA.... let them figure out what to do with them!!!

moodyskydiver 0 #13 December 11, 2003 QuoteReal fruitcake can be Good Eats. No friggin way. I live in Corsicana,TX which is home to one of the largest exporters (Collins Street Bakery) of fruitcakes in the US. They ship those stupid things to almost 200 different countries and at last estimate a quarter of a million ppl visit/tourist through here for Thanksgiving/Christmas.I cant stand them and cant believe people actually eat them (especially after being inside the bakery and watching them make them and seeing some of the stuff that accidentally ends up in the cakes.)Yick! I wouldn't let the nasty things on board with me either.LOL! "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
ripper0289 0 #14 December 11, 2003 Mass produced fruitcakes, nasty stuff, I agree. Homemade fruitcakes, though, are relatively easy to make, taste really, really good, and did I mention that to "preserve" them, you get to spray brandy on them every few days? Give fruitcake a chance
moodyskydiver 0 #15 December 11, 2003 No thanks. Being around the Bakery has soured me on them.I'll just take the brandy and you can keep the stinkin' cakes. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
