hooked 0 #1 December 14, 2003 So......I was thinking, does anyone have a favorite Holiday Tradition? One that just makes the Holidays more special, you know, maybe a favorite event, baking, decoration? J My family would make the annual Christmas trip to Louisiana to visit family(which is severely large!), and everyone gathers at my grandparents house where we would partake in a gigantic feast and fresh sweets, like divinity, pralines, and fudge, pies, eww, great, now I'm hungry, time for lunch...~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Fly the friendly skies...^_^...})ii({...^_~... Dagny 0 #3 December 14, 2003 When I was little, my grampa would read The Night Before Christmas to my sister and I on Christmas eve. Every year, he did this. We always curled up on the couch next to him and he would use this theatrical goofy voice. He was so cool. I miss him. These days, not so many traditions. Although, I do love driving around looking at christmas lights on people's houses. Florida is kind of special because people put lights on their palm trees. It seems so strange!Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali

ACMESkydiver 0 #7 December 14, 2003 My fav recent Christmas tradition is when everyone LEAVES!!! Get outta my home! Leave us in peace! We're just trying to enjoy ourselves!! Stop the insanity!!! Ahh...life with in-laws.... But when I was younger and happy, we used to drive around the neighborhood and look at all of the Christmas lights. And I loved my chocolate advent calendars! I love it when my hubby puts up all of the lights, too. Then it feels more festive! (Now that top part of this post was tongue-in-cheek, so don't anybody freak out! Just blowing off some steam )~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
