Slappie 9 #1 December 15, 2003 I went at lunch today and test drove the new Chevy SSR. Man what a schweeeeeeet truck/car/roadster, or however you classify it. IF (huge word here) I was to buy one, it would have to be black. Couldn't find any decent photos on the web of a black one. Lemme know what ya think I personaly think Chevy has a hit on it's hands with this one. I just can't get past the sticker shock! $44k (one I tested) and the dealer could probably get 20% over sticker. It's limited production. I hope it goes into normal production so I could actually afford one "Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them." Paige 0 #2 December 15, 2003 It's a sweet car/truck/whatever. A buddy of mine who owns a Chevy dealership just bought the fist one ever produced for $350,000. I can't believe he spent $350,000 just to have the serial number 001Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

Paige 0 #5 December 15, 2003 Damn, that's a lot of money for an American car. I've had 2 Fords and will never drive American again. Mine goes in tonight to see why the engine stalls every time I take my foot off the gas.Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com
kai2k1 0 #6 December 15, 2003 Its Nice, but i like this one better. And its cheaper too http://mustangs.bradbarnett.net/concept/s197/pics/coupe.htm I will defintely be buying one of these. Slappie 9 #7 December 15, 2003 There is no comparing a "pony car" to the SSR it's not in the same class. I'm not looking at the preformance of the vehicle. Granted Ford has a great idea. Bring back the retro styling and beef the pref up. But, the SSR is a completely different type of vehicle. Not to say the SSR doesn't have preformance.. with an aluminum-block Vortec 5300 V8 engine with 300 horsepower, ZQ8 Sport Suspension with a five-link layout for the rear and four-wheel disc brakes with ABS. No comparassion... "Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them." flyinghonu 0 #8 December 15, 2003 The problem was that you had Fords not American cars . Perfect example of a well built American car - why the Cadillac of course. bobsled92 0 #9 December 15, 2003 I love it!!!! ...and in BLUE!!! YES!(sticker shock???) I Just got a 2004QUAD-HEMI *"Laramie Edition" /full loaded & leather &345HP. They ALL* go for $40,000. As far as price: The Chevy is AWESOME. It's a show car that you can buy off the lot. That's a beautiful thing in itself I'll stare at it until next fall 'gotta be patient for a Chevy that nice._______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/
Paige 0 #10 December 15, 2003 I guess I can't complain much. I came home one day when I was 16 an had a new mustang waiting for me. Then before I went to college I came home one night again and it was gone to be replaced wtih an explorer. Of course I have made payments on them but not like I had a choice. My dad sell a lot of stuff to GM and says Cadillac is their best line of cars along with the GMC's.Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

flyinghonu 0 #13 December 15, 2003 I'm with you. I've been given my two cars (nothing as sweet as a Mustang - I don't know about the Explorer though - weren't they rolling over ). I fared out with a Toyota Tercel when I was 16 - a big hit w/ the hottie guys in HS . Then I got a very used Honda Prelude (great for a college girl - its gotta' sunroof). Then I got hit and ended up w/ a Mazda 636 (probably great for a soccer mom but I'm just not there yet). I'm still waiting for my Cadillac .... bobsled92 0 #15 December 15, 2003 I had a new mustang Convertable/Fla.(2weeks=interior fell in) & a LTD wagon in Pa. 4months and heads warped with coolant comming out of the tail pipe I bought Volvo and Ford bought them. I have to admit the 2005 Mustang will be "need" for alot of us "IF" it comes tob and doesn't do the "1st tear failure" thing. If I really had any sense, I would own a 2nd Vovlo in my garage(I needed a 4door&4X4/truck)_______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/
