What Would You Like To See Done To Saddam?

Recommended Posts

I doubt it would be in the best interest of American politicians to try him in the Hague. He would probably point out who supported him through his worst crimes against humanity, and who likes to be (ya, couldn't wait to point that one out). I think a nice public firing squad would really expedite the transfer of power to Iraqis, that way everybody wins. Hopefully the insurgents will back off the attacks now.

I think the U.S. will keep him in their custody under the rules of the Geneva Convention until a more stabilized government and judicial system is in place in Iraq. Then at that time he should be handed over to Iraq for trial. It should be an open trial for all the world to see the crimes he committed against humanity. And it should be Iraq who decides his punishment.

My only hope is that they do not stoop to his level and act like barbarians.

I like the Idea of Bum Sex with Bin Laden - But Methinks that the both of them would enjoy that a little too much.....

What to do with Saddam??? Hmmm, I think we should hand him over to the Kurds for a, um, fair trial. Nah, Lets just throw him in the Ocean. That would be fun. Just throw him in the middle of the pacific.

Personally, I would like to see him tortured to death in the most painful, slow, agonizling, prolonged manner possible, preferable at the hands of the Iraqi people. Whatever it might be, keep the DAMNED un out of it!!! Worthless communist, one-world government wannabes would find some way to release him as not guilty and blame all the problems that he created during his 30+ year reign of terror on the U.S.!

I would like to see him pay my taxes.

I could sport a rig, 200 jumps and 500 soldier lives with that.

he's not worth it.

now the US is hiding him, if they weren't, the iraq's would come for him.

I'm starting to think the iraq's are a bunch of crybabies.

edited to say:

I rather see the jerk hiding in the mountains caught.

>What would you like to see done to/with Saddam?

Put on trial by the people he ruled/tyrannized. That's about the closest to justice you can get. (True justice would be undoing all the bad things he's done, but unfortunately that's not possible.)

Not sure if execution or life in prison would be the best news for the people still fighting the war. Make him a martyr for suicide bombers to emulate? That might be worse than having him sit in a jail cell for the next 20 years, as an example of a failed dictator just wasting away in ignominy.

"Either the Hague or other UN court, or the Iraqi people should try him. "

I'm not sure that the US recognises the Court of Human Rights in the Hague. It is where he should go, its just that Dubbya would have to accept the possibility of say Col West (no offence, just an example) standing trial for 'war crimes' under a non-US controlled judicial system.

Trial in a US court...Probably not a great idea, likewise an Iraqi trial.

Anyways, there's plenty of time to make up your minds, SH is going to be busy showing us where all those nasty secret weapons are..along with other juicy intelB|:P. Both political and tactical

I think we should keep him alive, somebody has to go and pick up all that depleted uranium.

I don´t believe in capital punishment, so i would lock him in a cell for the rest of his life. Besides we don´t want a martyr, do we?
I would lock with him anyone in his regime who helped him do all the atrocities he did.
Of course we should not forget to lock in a cell for the rest of their lifes whoever sold weapons of mass destruction to Sadam. Even if they are from across the ocean.

Do you really think America and Britan want what he knows to come out? In the words of Steve Irwin 'DANGER, DANGR, DANGER!'
When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy.

What if after he was found guilty they put him in a public viewed prison cell built into a museum of his atrocities? A simple cell with bed, table, sink, shitter/shower and a see-tru safety wall of some sort, sure there would have to be extreme security but a small fee that would go to Iraq children would counter the expenses, Make a pretty good tourist bait. I'd like to see him. Humiliation but humane.

It will be interesting to hear what Saddam has to say about his relations with Cheney and Rumsfield from back in the day when Iraq was at war with Iran... I bet that these things come out if he goes to trial. That or hes killed before he has the chance to talk about that stuff.

It was interesting that when asked about wmds, he said that the US fabricated the threat to justify the war on iraq...

I still vote to hand him over to the women of iraq and let them decide his fate.

Trial by the Iraquies would be nice.

I care not what type of execution he receives. So long as it is humane.

Whomever suggested he should be toured about Washington, I think that's a great Idea too. Perhaps parade him about a bit... give him a real image of the world he longed to destroy.

Most important to me however, is that he be treated and executed as humanely as possible. We should display that we are better by not pelting him with rotten food whilst on display in the city stockade so to speak.

Well I'm with you Kramer, I can't wait to see what the Iraqi people are going to do to that pig. However, I'd like to see his end get kind of mid-evil, and painful. The man made every effort to hurt alot of people, and I think his own disgusting tactics need to come back on his ass 10 fold.-Caress
I've learned.... That being kind is more important than being
right.

If the reason the man must come to an end is his cruelty... does it make much sense to be cruel?

End him. But I say end him humanely. Quietly and quickly. We must seperate ourselves, men from beasts. We must be civil.
