As an operator I used to keep a set of punched cards next to the main console and when new programmers brought me their decks of cards for compilation, I would sometimes switch their decks with mine. It was hilarious to see their faces when I 'accidently' dropped the whole deck and they would have to spend hours sorting the cards into sequence again.
