EricaH 0 #28 December 17, 2003 here in Chicago it's not much better. 25 is the high today & at night it's below 0 (that is ferenhite ). I grew up in Bradenton FL & thougth it got FREEZING there. True, it does get cold, I already had a jacket & other winter wear when I moved out of FL. Yes, other nicer places; the cold isn't so biting. However, for those of us that've been in the 60's for highs since Oct.... there's no pitty!! If I go to FL in the winter & it's 50, I'm in shorts - that's f'in hot to me that time of year. So sad for you, boo-hoo... go put on your running back gloves & a full jumpsuit. I've just broke out my double layer gloves, balaclava, long underwear, silk underwear & sweats to go under my normal clothes to go under my jumpsuit. I'm sorry for you, but don't expect pitty. There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. PMS #227 (just like the TV show)
hmatousek 0 #29 December 17, 2003 Because many of my friends left me in Chicago for the winter and went to FL. I can't say I feel all that bad for them. As for you folks who are used to enjoying the warm winter (does that exist?) I am sorry you're cold, but I (and many others) are cold everyday. Just think of it this way you could be in four feet of snow with a windchill that is below zero. Things could be worse. Happy HolidaysLife doesn't have to be perfect in order to be beautiful! The111 1 #33 December 17, 2003 At Zhills a few weeks ago, I woke up at 7am to ice on my car and the grass, I was more hungover than I've been in years, and I made my second high altitude jump at 8am. :) I'm pretty sure it was well below zero at 22k. I didn't jump all day after that. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

marcandalysse 0 #36 December 17, 2003 QuoteJust think of it this way you could be in four feet of snow with a windchill that is below zero. That's why I moved to Florida 10 years ago! No more scraping ice off the windshield at 6:30am then fighting traffic to drive to work! The most work I have to do is bring the orchids into the garage, and cover the rest of the tropical plants with some old blankets if it gets below 40....The orange and grapefruits like the chill, it makes them sweeter! The pool is heated to 87 but with that chilly 60 degree breeze we have a solar cover on it....but its not too much work to roll it up and dive in! Rough life huh?? happythoughts 0 #37 December 17, 2003 It's been in the mid 70's today, but very breezy. That added to the wind chill. It definitely felt like it was in the 60's, very chilly. As a Floridian, I generally wear a sweater when getting a beer from the fridge. I hate that blast of 50 degree air. It's got to be bad for you.
