skymama 37 #1 December 17, 2003 "A wind chill advisory has been issued for early Thursday for brevard, lake, seminole, orange, osceola and volusia counties (that's Central FL) Overnight low temperatures are expected to drop into the mid to upper 30s across much of east central Florida. At the same time, northwest winds will make it feel even colder, with wind chill values falling to the upper 20s across volusia and north lake counties, and the lower 30s over metro orlando and melbourne. These low wind chill values will be realized early Thursday morning, between 5 and 9 am." Geez o pete, we'll be freezing our arses' off like the rest of you tonight. If it's going to be this cold, we should at least get snow to play in, darn it! skybrat68 0 #21 December 17, 2003 Didn't we just talk about this cold crap the other day Kramer? The high was around 60 or something and we both agreed that was too cold to jump. But, the reason we don't jump in weather that cold is because we don't have to jump in weather that cold, which is proven by the forecast you've posted. If you don't like the weather in Florida, just wait around a minute.

The111 1 #25 December 17, 2003 To everybody who says we Floridians are wusses for complaining about this weather: I seriously think there is something different about the cold in FL. I spent the first 21 years of my life in FL and never saw a winter in any other state, and NEVER SAW SNOW. Every winter here seemed freezing to me. Last March I went to Tahoe and saw snow for the first time, and went snowboarding. I could sit out in that weather ALL DAY, wearing only jeans and a longsleeved shirt and jacket, even when I was riding the lift to the top of the run, with wind and snowflakes hitting me in the face. It actually felt good and I liked it. I thought ahead of time that something that cold would kill me. I'm not sure what it is, but there's something more to the equation than just temperature. Humidity is a big part, I'm sure. And Mama: it could still be very sunny tomorrow. Perhaps you meant so much for "warm" Florida. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
