hmatousek 0 #1 December 18, 2003 Although I don't get on dz.com too often I have become nervous enough about my Eloy experience to make my feelings important. I originally planned on being at Eloy with my friend till the 4th. Turns out she is leaving on the 29th and I will be there by myself till the 4th. Chances are I will know at least one person there but not very many. I was at Rantoul this year but met very few people outside of my dz (I couldn't jump cause of a broken arm). I guess I am just looking for some reassurance that I will still have a great time. Thanks for listening. HeatherLife doesn't have to be perfect in order to be beautiful! CanuckInUSA 0 #5 December 18, 2003 I'm more afraid that some DZ.COMer will introduce themselves to me with their screen name and I'll say "who"? As far as meeting people, there will be a steady stream of people coming and going from the DZ.COM tent all day long each and every day of the boogie. I think it'll be hard not to meet new people. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
flyangel2 2 #6 December 18, 2003 I'll be arriving around the 28th. We'll hook up and make a jump or two. Just ask around the Dropzone.com tent for me. Not to worry, there will be plenty of people with open arms.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. vdschoor 0 #9 December 18, 2003 You really don't have to be.. Even though Eloy is a huge DZ, the vibe there is great. There's the big advantage that there are going to be a lot of dz.com people, but even if they are not there you will have a blast. I went there for Valentine's meet in 2000 all by myself, I think I made 1 solo jump, and then got pulled into organized loads, BECAUSE I was by myself! You'll have an awesome time, Eloy is a very friendly dz and the people there will take care of you, you won't be by yourself Iwan
hmatousek 0 #10 December 18, 2003 I guess I am nervous because I have never been to a new dz my myself. So it won't be a new DZ anymore.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

hmatousek 0 #14 December 19, 2003 i have a hard enough time with real names let alone screen names. i guess it depends how you want me to remember you. When I meet people in person that's the name that sticks. Life doesn't have to be perfect in order to be beautiful! I know.. THAT PART is really hard. I am lousy with names... give me a string of numbers and I will remember them no problemo.. but names ...sheesh. I know so many people here on DZ.Com.. only by thier screenname.. so this is going to be VERY hard to correlate screennames to real names.... THis happened at the two other boogies I went to this year... I think for me.. the SCREENNAMES stick more readily.
Eiley 0 #16 December 19, 2003 Funny... I recall this gorgeous, vivacious, friendly, outgoing chick who became an integral part of the social scene at the DZ well before she was off student status! What have you done with her? Where have you hidden the Heather who partied at the Gay Rave, the one who we found in our house cooking us dinner when we came home one night, and the one who features in a whole bunch of drunken photos in my album here in Oz??? Oh yeah, you'll so be without friends at this boogie!!! Cheers, Eiley nothing to see here
DeNReN 0 #17 December 19, 2003 Call the "commers" you meet by there screen names....maybe they will get sick of having two names and start to use a name closer to what they like to be called..........Btw....I'm DeNReN....Den for short
bshl 0 #18 December 19, 2003 I didn't know a soul when I went there at Thanksgiving, Heather, and I had a blast anyway. It was a laid back, friendly, fun atmosphere. I tend to be something of a wallflower a lot of times but I had no problem finding jumps to lurk or join. You'll have a blast. Blue skies and happy landings!
