Newbie 0 #1 December 19, 2003 goddamn it, $1000 worth of damage to the door, body and window and they didnt even steal anything. I guess i should be thankful that i only have to pay the first $400 excess to have it repaired and not the whole whack. Just what i didn't need around this expensive time of year Im normally quite the pacifist and zen-like about shit, but i would so LOVE to have just 10 seconds with the little f*&£^r that did this "Skydiving is a door" Happythoughts
yardhippie 0 #2 December 19, 2003 thats why I leave my unlocked mostly. but then theyll probably still break in. F-ing idiots. but is spose if they were smart they wouldnt be breaking into cars and NOT stealing anything.... wildcard451 0 #3 December 19, 2003 A classmate of mine was commenting earlier this evening that when he had his car stolen, the detective on the case noted that in his time working on car thefts, he had never seen one stolen with a "Club" on the wheel. I don't know if this stop people from breaking in, but it'll usually make someone just move on to an easier target. I still don't understand why someone would go through all that trouble to get in, then just leave. Glad you still have your car and a smaller than normal damage bill. I hope you find the little rat bastard though, and get it on video.......
mr2mk1g 10 #4 December 19, 2003 I had mine broken into this time last week. (exactly). The fuckers jammed a screw driver under the lock to get in then in trying to break the steering lock ripped the whole fucking steering wheel off in their hands! They then went through the car for anything they could nick, left everything they could have nicked, including the sony cd changer in the boot which was moved so I know they touched it (it wasnt even screwed down for god's sake). They left everything, and just walked off. Damn AA wouldnt even take it to a garage for me as it was "vandalism" not a break down. Garage couldn't believe they had actually managed to rip the steering wheel off! They had sheared through an inch thick steel rod! God knows what they were using to pry the thing. Thankfully got it back on the road again in less than a week for about £120. Bastards
