AndyMan 7 #27 December 19, 2003 In the geek world, there's a term used when a website is completely flat-lined by traffic. generally its called "slashdotting", or the "slashdot effect". This is named after a popular website www.slashdot.org, which has a reputation for turning any website they link to into a smoldering pile of molten silicon goo.
