wzettler 0 #1 December 19, 2003 Any of you computer types know where I can recycle old inoperable video boards? Im in northern VA but I could also go for a place that I can mail it off to... With the mercury and lead in these old computer parts i thought it would be better if they didn't go in a landfill, but if it is too much of a pain, thats where they will be headed I guess. Thanks in advance for any advice... I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.
CrazyIvan 0 #2 December 19, 2003 You can contact the Recycle Center in your area, they will tell you what to do.__________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.
Guest #3 December 19, 2003 I recently paid about $60 to have two old televisions and two old Macs processed by the county where I live. There needs to be a solution to the obsolescence of consumer electronics becoming a HazMat problem. If I were king, perhaps I'd enact a "Hazmat deposit" fee up front as part of the purchase of a new CE product to deal with the inevitability of its ending up in the wate stream...anybody else got creative ideas? mh"The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat." There is...law was passed this year. Think it's just for tvs and monitors though.
