Vallerina 2 #1 December 19, 2003 It's the holiday season, so sugar and fat are in full force at work. I have an unhealthy donut obsession, and many people here know it. My coworker Phil decided to get a donut, and he just left to go get some coffee to drink while he eats the donut. He set the donut on his desk. He looked over at me, picked up the donut, put the donut in a drawer in his desk, and he locked the drawers. Am I really so pathetic that people have to lock food so that I don't get to it????There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

WrongWay 0 #10 December 19, 2003 Yes, you really are that pathetic. BTW, useless info, I dunno if you got your new avatar from the net or from personal photos, but if it's from the net, I can tell you EXACTLY where that sign is. It's on the (south?) end of bourbon st., new orleans, at a bar that is known for their HUGE ASS BEERS. These things are f*cking HUGE!! If I remember correctly, it's close to a gallon of Bud Light.... happythoughts 0 #12 December 19, 2003 Apparently, you are creating concern in the minds of donut owners. This is a small problem. In another thread, you were solving the worlds problems. I figure there must be a net value on this. You should solve more than you create. I think you are still on the winning side (unless someone brings in a dozen donuts). EricaH 0 #16 December 19, 2003 Pathetic, no; dangerous round other peoples donuts & beer - YES. Perhaps it's cause you look older than me - he didn't trust you. Older people are dangerous too (no personal offense is to be taken by this or any coment I ever make). There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. flyangel2 2 #18 December 19, 2003 Agree. If I was around an unguarded donuts, you can bet I'd be eating it. And yes Val, if you were around and I had to leave a donut near you, you bet I'd lock it up or take it with me. That's what I'm talking about!!! There's an unwritten rule that no donut can be "claimed." Donuts are not objects that one person can own. Chris That's like my dumb ass intern. We have a cabinet in the kitchen where our company buys cookies, chips, snacks, etc and stocks it. He put his own bag of chips in there, and then was all pissed off that someone ate it. I asked him why he put it in the community food cabinet if he didn't want anyone else to eat it, He asked where else he should put it. I said, "How about your desk?". He didn't think of that

EricaH 0 #24 December 19, 2003 hi, my name is vallerina, and i have a donut problem... Now THAT is funny!! I guess if the rule is that in view & unattended = up for grabs, than it makes sense for him to lock it up. Very hilarous though. Val prob needed it more than he did anyway! There is no can't. Of course, the obvious response would be to eat all the donut except the little bit wedged in. If it's powdered sugar, make sure you have some on your mouth and fingers while denying the crime. ...
