Marz 0 #1 December 22, 2003 So I leave for Fort Lauderdale on Dec 27. I'm going to stay with my parents who really frown on my skydiving and I'm travelling with my wife, my son, and all the necessary luggage to take a 9-month-old on a two-week vacation- lots of S&*t! My reserve is out of date and I don't know if I should bring my rig. I've already booked somme tunnel time for the second week I'm there, but I'm debating the hassle of bringing gear down other that my jumpssuit, alti, helmet and logbook. That's already alot. Furthermore, I'll be using my parent's car to travel and if they hear "Sebastian" coming out of my mouth, they're gonna be pissed! So I'm asking you fine people, do I bring the rig? sdgregory 0 #2 December 22, 2003 Bring it, are you a married man and father? That officially gives you the right to make your own decisions. My Dad hates the fact that I jump out of Planes. I am married three kids and have been out of my father's home for more than 12 years. I love him but I make my own decisions and if he does notlike it he can keep it to himself. Take the Wife, Take the Kid and take the RIG! edited to add : If you take it you have the option to go when you get there even if you decide not to. If you leave it you will wish you had it and will be screwed if you decide you want to go to say SkyDive Miami. Furthermore I do not believe in ever ditching the wife and kid unless they do not mind. Otherwise take them to Skydive Miami with you.

So don't say Sebastian... say Vero Beach. I'd only bring the rig if I thought I'd be able to jump for more than one day. If you aren't picky about what you jump you can always rent. jumpinfarmer 0 #7 December 22, 2003 Bring it! If it's there you will probably jump if not you wont. As for the folks, they'll have to get used to it. Maybe you should take them to watch they say that will help with wuffos. I shouldn't talk, I still live at home, Dad doesn't seem to mind, but Ma sayes it makes her sick to think about it. They just have to get used ot the fact that little Markey isn't playing with toy tractors and Legos anymore.
