Altimeter watches

Recommended Posts

After using a Suunto vector for a couple thousand jumps and absolutely loving it, I deciding to upgrade to a xlander. The display on the xlander never worked properly from day one and in certain cases (when the watch is hot) the display doesn't work at all. After trying to get something done about my watch, all i got told from suunto is to just send it somewhere to get fixed, i've decided i need a new watch and suunto can go jump of a bridge.

So my question, has anyone out there used any other type of alti watch, in particular casio for example, and how do they compare to the alti function of a suunto and do you like using them for skydiving.
Thanks

No answer, but I find it funny as hell when I clicked on this thread (twice) a suunto ad comes up on the left.

xlanders are more expensive but i know 2 people that have them and the metal ring falls off. i have a vector and love it, when it is too scratched or breaks... I will get another vector.

upgrading models is not always equal to upgrading quality.

simple is better.
