sdctlc 0 #26 December 23, 2003 QuoteOk.... you see my question. Advice?? Neither one of them understand why I do what we all do, or the feeling of freedom in freefall..... yep, total Whuffos!!! Naturally, as parents, they don't want to see me bounce. Hay C. Weather will probably be crap anyway but I would take them out if nothig else to see what YOU are enjoying. A lot of people have an incorrect preception of what skydiving is. If they put up a fight with you about stopping by with or with out the possibility of jumping, you might want to ask them what they think about when they think of skydiving. I have been very suprised by some of the responses that people spout out of their mouth with regard to skydiving. The preception is usually very wrong and a little information does help, not always, but sometimes it does. Just a thought. I was out last weekend and weather in Kitsap sucked. Looked like it was not too bad on the other side of the water though.. Scott C."He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
DJatLarge 0 #27 December 23, 2003 Well, we are going to stop by this weekend, even if the weather is bad because they want to see where spend all my time and money. Maybe I'll show them my favorite place to sleep (pass out) too. Maybe we'll see you this weekend. Probably Saturday, but maybe Sunday.
Katzeye 0 #28 December 23, 2003 Hook them up with a cool person to hang out with while you're on a load. They'll be able to ask questions and meet the awsome people at your DZ! Is a chicken omelette redundant?

hookitt 1 #30 December 23, 2003 Skydiving a social gathering of some pretty cool folks. I'd venture to guess your parents will see that. Make a skydive or 2 so they can watch you land. Get video if you can and show it to them when you land. The will probably understand it a whole lot better than you think. Good luck TimMy grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
bshl 0 #31 December 24, 2003 Don't forget to explain things to them. Explain the jump run, spotting, separation between jumpers/groups and tracking. It's all about having fun safely. Watch a load land and then go up. You've given them a blow-by-blow and now they can watch you do it. Blue skies and happy landings!
