SkydiveMonkey 0 #1 December 29, 2003 I bounced again in my sleep last night. For the second time, I pulled nice and stable (at around 10k for some reason), got a whole lotta lines round my legs. Got rid of em at around 5 k and chopped, freefalled for about 5 - 10 seconds, dumped the reserve, and had a total. I woke up as I hit the ground. Second time I've had the same dream now .... Anyone else have these sort of dreams?____________________ Say no to subliminal messages
Dagny 0 #2 December 29, 2003 I had my first bad skydiving dream. Usually it's all good, but last night...grrrr, not so nice. Dreamt I was skydiving, can't remember what was going on, but lost altitude awareness, was looking to the side, then remembered I have to pull. Looked down just in time to say Oh Shit which I distinctly remember and...well, fade to black. Either the heineken was trying to punish me while I slept or I'm getting a little nervous about making a jump this week. Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali
Nightingale 0 #3 December 29, 2003 no bounce dreams, but a couple of cutaway dreams... that's when I knew that my cutaway drills had really sunk in. when you wake up muttering "look red, grab red, look silver, pull red, grab silver, pull silver" LOL. Sheenster303 0 #4 December 29, 2003 I've had dreams where I've been pushed out of planes by people while I wasn't wearing a rig. I always woke up before I bounced, but it still freaks me out. I have a dreams all the time that my friends are either trying to kill me or I'm trying to kill my friends.I'm so funny I crack my head open! kai2k1 0 #6 December 29, 2003 About a week after my first tandem I had a dream that I bounced, got up, looked around, bowed to the crowd of onlookers, dusted myself off and manifested for the next load. That was freaky. There's no truer sense of flying than sky diving," Scott Cowan
JadedLady 0 #7 December 29, 2003 I hear you on that one, Kai. Not even a month ago I had my first bounce dream. It was strange, I pulled and nothing came out, went for the reserve, same thing. I bounced and laid there for a second, like I did when I had my real accident. Then I got myself up and kind of grinned at everyone. Then the really scary thing happened... Jim came storming out and said I was reckless and careless and he never wanted to see me near his dropzone again. I woke up in a cold sweat...~~~~ Rachel ~~~~~~~~~~~ -Converting the world one whuffo at a time.
Zenister 0 #8 December 29, 2003 i have lots of skydiving dreams actually...of course i could fly there long before i started skydiving so who really needs a rig in dream??honestly though i believe dreaming about freeflying and tracking has helped refine my performance in the waking world...____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. RoadRash 0 #9 December 29, 2003 I have had quite a few skydiving dreams...including a couple of tracking dreams...which are fun......then I have had some scary malfunction dreams where I couldn't get rid of line twists and had to cutaway...then there is the dream that I had recently where I was randomly base jumping (I have never done a base jump...) and went splat and woke up as I felt the pressure of the ground on my face and side...scary and very weird...~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Fly the friendly skies...^_^...})ii({...^_~... ozthebum 0 #10 December 30, 2003 I had almost the same dream a couple months ago. But after I bounced I stood up and though to myself, that really should have hurt. Then I realised it was a dream and it went off into some other crazy sh*t.
airann 1 #11 December 30, 2003 I have never had a skydiving dream. I think I must live my dream while I am awake, er something. You know, you can control your dreams. It takes some practice - I have slightly woken then gone back to my dream to, in the end, escape what was chasing me. (Chase dreams often stem from feelings of anxiety in your walking life. ) Below from http://www.dreammoods.com/ Skydiving To dream that you are skydiving, represents your high ideals. Sometimes you may need to compromise these ideals and be more realistic of your expectations. I dont think this applies to actual skydivers? I dunno. Falling As with most common dream themes, falling is an indication of insecurity, instability, anxiety and issues concerning your pride. The act of falling suggests that you feel overwhelmed and out of control in some situation in your waking life. This may reflect the way you feel in your relationship or in some business endeavor. You have lost your foothold and can not hang on or keep up with the hustle and bustle of daily life. Falling dreams also often reflect a sense of failure or inferiority in a circumstance or situation. It may be the fear of failing in your job/school, loss of status, or failure in love. You feel you cannot keep up with your social circle or that you don't measure up. According to Freudian theory, dreams of falling indicate that you are contemplating giving into a sexual urge. ~AirAnn~
wildcard451 0 #12 December 30, 2003 Had two the other night.....first one I reached for my hackey and there was nothing there, not even the pouch....in the saddle under my reserve at 200', and landed on the other side of the county, where a rigger was yelling at me about ruining a pack job......woke up, thought that was very weird, and went back to sleep. Next dream, I watched someone cut away at about 100 feet... Oh well...if I believed all my dreams I'd be rich already
