North95 0 #1 December 30, 2003 Does anybody know about this "Top Gun" place in Mesa AZ? There web site is at: http://www.fightercombat.com/gifts/flightofyourlife.htm I was thinking about going there but it kind of looks more like WWI than WWII or current fighters. Still seems like it could be fun. Any thoughts, anybody been there, done that? NorthRepetition does not transform a lie into a truth. Franklin D. quade 4 #2 December 30, 2003 Aerial Combat Maneuvering (ACM) has it's roots in WWI and was really perfected in WWII. Modern day ACM is definately exciting, but the aircraft (F-15s) are far, far too expensive to even taxi down the runway for the average person to ever hope to experience. WWII training aircraft or modern light combat trainers are much, much more appropriate. Don't worry, they have more than enough power and maneuverability to make you hurl your lunch. Meanwhile, you can get some stick time in a fairly high-performance aircraft and perform maneuvers and dogfight in ways that most WWI pilot's could have never really dreamed of. WWII pilots on the other hand -- they'd probably be right at home. There is a similar outfit at Fullerton Airport in southern California called Air Combat that has been in business for many, many years. It's a great operation. Very fun stuff. Highly recommended.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
