pop 0 #6 December 30, 2003 QuoteWhat was your time on the drive? From door to door 11 hours that way and almost 13 hours comming back. Took wront turn on the way back and increased my distance by 50 miles. And got stuck in LA forever. But I also timed it from Hollister to Phoenix whixh took 9:10. You have me beat by 40 minutes.7 ounce wonders, music and dogs that are not into beer

diablopilot 2 #10 December 30, 2003 The other one.... When you came back you missed the turn for the 210 and took the 10 all the way to the 5, right? I think the 99 to Bakersfield, then 58 (through the Tehachepi) to 395 to 15 (over the Cajone pass) to 215 and then to the 10 is faster. gets you by all that LA shit. Used to do the 5 to 210 to 10 from davis and make the trip in just over 11 hours driving time, but would alway time the trip so I spent the night in Palm Springs just so I could miss the LA crap. First time I drove it I sat in stop and go on the 210, and 10 for 2 hours or more...---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. Keep having fun!!! I was comming in from Texas back from the holidays, stopped in Eloy at a Mexican restaurant I usually stop at. Comming out, I saw several jumpers in the distance and decided to pay the DZ a visit to see what was going on there. Man, you talk about what looked like a party...banners everywhere, people everywhere, loads of jumpers, balloons going up. Sounds like a spent the holidays in the wrong place
pop 0 #12 December 30, 2003 Yeah, I took 10 to 5. I didnt have a map with me. Just looked up directions on mapquest. I stopped to get food in LA at an In n Out and that took me 45 minutes. Then the trafiic was a mothafucker. Ill keep your directions in mind for next time. Thanks!!!!7 ounce wonders, music and dogs that are not into beer
diablopilot 2 #13 December 30, 2003 I think I've been to that In n Out. Seriously. I used to use mapquest exclusivly, till I realized it ain't always the fastest or shortest routes. Next time our on the road, stop at a "Pilot" or other Truckstop, and you should be able to pick up a nice truckers atlas (Rand McNaly, or AAA) for about $9.99 Invaluable for on the spot navigation.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.
