Just make sure you follow the directions EXACTLY. So far he has won visas for his mom and dad. . .I know he has applied for others. You are supposed to file it from your home country. . .give it a whirl. . .they run the lottery every year. . .how many visas they give per country varies every year. At the time, UK citizens were not eligible for the lottery because of the numbers already here so double check that to see if it's still the case. Who said Kiwis can't fly? You are wise to be cautious as there are a number of profiteers cashing in on the unsuspecting. The program run by the US government itself via the consul general is basically free, you may see adverts however from various agency's claiming you must go through them for the best chance at a visa and they always incur a sizable fee of some sort ie 60USD or so.
