firediver 0 #1 January 1, 2004 This new years eve...there are fellow jumpers (I can't say from what drop zone for security reasons) , loading onto aircraft and heading overseas while many people here are celebrating life. I've always been the one going away doing dangerous jobs in my family, but tonight, I'm the dad of one (also a skydiver) who's doing those things. For all those who are in the field right now, I'm praying for ya. For all those who have spent all that time worrying and praying for those of us doing "cool guy jobs"...I understand now, and I'll tell you that it's way easier being out there in the shit than back here worrying. Maybe just for tonight, everyone forget the political statements and opposing views on here, and send some vibes to the guys and girls out doing the jobs they're paid to do. It's because of them that we are allowed the lives we enjoy. Blue Skies to all... Skydiving isn't scary;...but clowns...CLOWNS are scary!

jumpinjackflash 0 #4 January 1, 2004 Big time Dad, big time. Major vibes to those, including yours, that are out there taking care of us. One of mine, is here in town, taking care of em. He's an EMT and I'm incredibly proud of him. The danger he puts himself into regularly, to take care of those that are in trouble, well, it makes me proud. <<<<<<>>>>>>>> to you and yours, and everyone both away fighting, and here, looking out for all of us. Truly amazing, selfless, and admirable. To serve your fellow man, with love in your heart and a true belief in doing whats right. What more could you do during your time here? So many heroes, just for being there. jjfIt's a gas, gas, gas...
