one of the kittens died today but that is the way life is. still have three healthy kittens and mommy is nursing them. just an update

So sorry to hear this. My parents bred their siamese female earlier this year. It was their first time trying this, and it was all they could talk about. They were so excited about it.

Something went wrong, and the mother cat (their baby) had to be brought to the vet for an emergency c-section and 5 of 6 kittens were born dead, and they almost lost the mother. The 6th one survived to 7 weeks but was very deformed. My husband and I even took turns bottle feeding it (the mom didn't know she had kittens so she disowned the poor little one) when my folks went away for a weekend.

Sadly it died in my mothers arms. THey were just heartbroken. So I can understand the type of pain involved. I have no children, and the only people that have died in my life did so when I was very young, so losing a pet has been the most traumatic death thus far (lost a 13 yr. old cat in 2000). People who haven't had pets or aren't as attached to their pets don't understand how it can be like losing your best friend. I have two siamese cats now and I don't know what I'd do if they died. I cry just thinking about it. They're my whole world.

I hope that momma and the rest of the kittens do ok.

It's not the first time i lost kittens I set myself up just in case one of them died. it happens law of nature if you know what i mean. just kinda sucks...
