AggieDave 6 #1 January 2, 2004 Here's a question, I figured someone here would probably know. I just got an old Yamaha dirtbike from an old buddy of mine. It hasn't run in about 8 years, so I was going to figure it out and get it back running again. Here's the catch, I don't know what model it is...We know its an '80's ('83 we thing, could be '86) and we know that its a 400. The serial number starts 1M2 (the one stamped on the headtube), but beyond that, I have no farking clue. Looking at that, I guessed it was possibly a DT 400, but I'm not sure. Anyone have any experience with "vintage" Yamaha dirt bikes? (yes, I'll try calling a dealer tomorrow, I was just trying to figure this out tonight).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
