I am writing this with a hole in my heart... one of my most beloved friends (and a brother in the sport) passed away on Dec 31st. It was not skydiving related... thank God. He died in his sleep. Joe was one of my most favorite people. He has touched so many people all over the place. He will be INCREDIBLY missed. I have cried ever since I found out and I don't see an end in sight.

Joe, I love you so very much and I will always think of you and remember you and continue loving you.

Chin up, sweetie. I lost a very dear friend to cancer the week before Christmas. It's hard losing someone close to you at any point in time, but around the holidays it's even harder. Hold on to the good memories and you'll be fine. Celebrate his life.:)
Hugs and peace,

Laurie

Hey Laurie, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. What an awful time to lose someone.

I know in timeit will get better... but it's always hardest (I think) with the first friend that you lose. I have never lost someone that I was so incredibly close to. He was like my big brother and more. I fell in love with him (platonically :)

With great love comes great loss...

Sweetie, I am so sorry for you right now. There are no words that can be said to ease your pain, only time will dull it. Remember the good times and keep in mind he is where he belongs now and forever, in the skies. My thoughts are with you.

Joe was with me on my very first jump over 4 years ago and remained a good friend. I feel blessed that I was able to see him Christmas Eve when I was home for the holidays. He will be missed so much.[:/]

This is a tragedy indeed. Joe was a GREAT guy from what I got to know of him. I had my first exposure to Joe when we flew the Otter over to Gladewater from Gold Coast this past November. I was very fortunate to have an opportunity to jump with Joe and Roger in my first successful big-way. It was awesome. We were glowing all over the place. Then when Joe and Roger came over to Gold Coast a few weeks later it was like being reunited with family again. It was so nice to see them both and have another opportunity to jump with them. Joe had an orneryness in him that you just can't help but love. He will be dearly missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all his dear friends and family. One day we will have a great big family reunion in the sky.

Blue skies,
Leanne
