But the best thing about Eloy was...

Recommended Posts

i think the best thing for me wasnt any jump....it was the first day walking on the DZ and seeing alot of old faces that i havent seen in months. That is one thing that i will be able to relive at every boogie, and something i greatly look forward to.

:$:$ AWWWW thanks Keith... I would love to jump with you anytime... in fact I was hoping to get in a LOT more jumps there but the weather was not being co-operative. I can do hop and pops in Seattle ALL winter long and I was hoping for lots and lots of full alti jumps down there. I have got to get down to Perris some weekend this winter.. now that they have the tunnel.. maybe I can actually learn how to turn points without gettting dizzy;)

Oh.. and Ashley.. it was a pleasure to meet you and Jumper03...glad I could help out on the shyness thing....somehow.. I just never was very good at that whole wallflower thing..... blending into the background is just kinda hard for me:P

What was the best thing about the Holiday Boogie?....

I have to go with seeing some old friends I haven't seen in a few years and getting to jump with some friends from my DZ without anyone having to stop and go do a tandem or a video or a coaching jump.

Second best has to be getting skysurfing tips from a few veteran jumpers (Thanks Jason Peters, et al.).

Third would be the sunset balloon jump with my friends on my last day (DAMN, that's a crazy sensation).

Most anticlimactic would have to be my high altitude skysurf. That stupid oxygen mask kept getting in my way while I was adjusting the bindings on my board; then the elastic strap on the mask broke, so the person sitting next to me had to hold my mask on me while I made adjustments; then I had so many layers of clothing on that my arms were sticking practically straight up in free fall. It was a lot of work for another 30 seconds of free fall. It's still fun to say I did it, though.

Overall, it was an awesome boogie, despite the frigid temperatures.

Blue skies,

1. Our morning bunkroom chats
-------------------------------------------------------------
Those morning bunkroom chats were awesome. You guys kept me in stitches. Especially QuickDraw and the "Sneezes like a Donkey" comment.

A few days later he said the showers were so hot he could "boil lobsteh" in them. And my absolute fave quickdraw saying happened sunday night. We gained yet another new roommate that apparently had a gas problem. Quickdraw walked in and said "who dropped ass in here?" I asked him what that meant and he said someone was "fahting."
