Allentown police Lt. Dwight Steidel said he was driving an unmarked police cruiser at about 11:30 p.m. Friday when he stopped at a red light behind a silver sport utility vehicle. When the light turned green, the SUV driver did not move and continued talking to someone standing on the sidewalk, Steidel said. "I rolled down my window and told him to move or pull over," Steidel stated in his report. "He immediately began to curse at me. I believe he did not know I was a police officer." The SUV driver, identified by police as Rico Cordero of Allentown, had his license suspended and the 2003 SUV he was driving had been stolen in Bethlehem, police said. After his arrest, authorities said, Cordero was searched at police headquarters and was in possession of cocaine and a large amount of cash. He was charged with drug possession, possession with intent to deliver, receiving stolen property and driving with a suspended license, police spokesman Daryl Hendricks said. The cop suspects he is under the influence. He asks if he can search the car....which he was granted permission. Pulls the blanket back that was over some things in the BACK SEAT and finds a portable Meth lab. I'm still trying to figure out why in the world you would put a Meth lab in your back seat???
