mailin 0 #1 January 7, 2004 none of my friends are home - so I hope you guys don't mind me wasting space here. Today was not a good day. I think the winters here in New England are starting to get to me. The day starts very cold. Cold enough so that I couldn't get my car door open. So I get a ride to work. I arrive about 15 min. late only to find that the file I uploaded to the server last night didn't upload correctly, and the 8 am meeting it was needed for (this was told to me at 8:15 mind you), had to be rescheduled. Not looking like a good day. But alas, it continues. The 3 interns working under me have big projects due at the end of the month, and the pressure is definitely building. I think I sat at my desk to do 'my work' for all of 10 min. My boss is paging me and my pager doesn't work, and so she's running around nuts trying to find me. So I get 'yelled' at. Stay late to finish another presentation, upload it to the server, back it up on the laptop and make a CD. There is no way it won't be there for tomorrow. Get home... answering machine message from dad about my cell phone being off (ya, the stupid battery died for good this time) and he really needed to talk to me. My brother fell off the roof of a job he was on today - seems to be ok though. So I decided to put off driving the hour north to see him - because its starting to snow. Decide to go food shopping real quick, as the snow lessened - only to finish to blizzard conditions. So driving home (I live 5 min. away), my car, with its crappy tires, and even worse brakes, skids into a fence and brakes one of my headlights and scratches the front up pretty good. I stop shaking enough to drive home. Bringing the groceries into the house I slip on the snow and hit my head (just enough to knock some sense into me ). This sounds so freaking unbelieveable. How does all this happen in one day?? I'm tired and don't feel like finishing taking down the xmas tree, never mind put the groceries away. I can't get ahold of my husband (he's off with friends), my folks, or ANY of my friends this evening... I think they know I'm trying to reach them Its been a pretty f@$%ing bad day, and I'm feeling pretty low (ok, really low) - but I think PW will make me feel better. Phew, felt good to get all that out. Didn't realize it was getting so long though! I think I'll go find some pillows to punch or something - I feel the need to hurt something Hope no one can say they had a worse day! mailin 0 #5 January 7, 2004 Quotethe snow really is pretty when you stop a moment just to look and forget about everything else I wish I shared the same sentiment. I'm really getting tired of it, having grown up in new england. I spent a week in AZ this past fall and enjoyed it very much! It was such a change from new england. My husband is from Fresno, CA but loves winter and New England. I couldn't get him to leave for love or money. Me, I'd go with just the money part JenniferArianna Frances

lawrocket 3 #10 January 7, 2004 Fresno, eh? We had some pretty thick frost here for a couple of days... My wife is hotter than your wife.
mailin 0 #11 January 7, 2004 ha! frost huh? hehe, nothing compared to here - trust me. but I will give Fresno one thing. I have NEVER seen fog settle in quite like it does in Fresno... couldn't even see out the windows all day - open the door, can't seen 4 inches in front of you. I was amazed by it JenniferArianna Frances
