Amazon 7 #2 January 7, 2004 It is a very simple concept.. Those who serve our country must ALWAYS be supported by those of us at home. The freedoms we have today were bought with the blood of our countrymen. To all who serve.. thank you.
Lee03 0 #3 January 7, 2004 OH MY GOD! Speaking as a combat veteran from the Marine Corps, I really have no words. Many tears, but no words to express what I feel from seeing this. I think what you see in this is a portait of the real America! I'm choked-up.. sorry.-------- To put your life in danger from time to time ... breeds a saneness in dealing with day-to-day trivialities. --Nevil Shute, Slide Rule
slug 1 #4 January 7, 2004 Thanks for posting the thread I'm not ashamed to say seeing the picture's of respect brought tears to my eye's. I may be wrong but I suspect this show of respect can be attributed in a small part from the way some of the G.I.'s were treated when they returned from Viet Nam and Korea. R.I.P. AggieDave 6 #9 January 7, 2004 And people wonder why I love Texas. The people in small town Texas, are some of the best in the world! That was amazing.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
kelel01 1 #10 January 7, 2004 That was so beautiful. If I had been there, I would've bawled like a baby. Nothing touches my heart more than an outpouring of love and appreciation from an entire community. When people come together in difficulty and sadness, I think that is the most wonderful thing. Humanity can be utterly depressing and repugnant at times, but this type of thing shows what's really in our hearts. God bless the fallen soldiers.
