Unstable 9 #1 January 9, 2004 Driving Back from the Middle of Fking nowhere Kansas at 3:30 AM, i Get clocked by a highway patrol man for 10 over the Speedlimit - on an empty rural highway. I was a complete dick to him after he gave me the ticket, I made him stand out in the cold as I made him go over everything for 20 minutes (I'm a dick, I know). What sucks is that where I got stopped, the fee's start after 10 miles per hour over, so all I pay is a freaking huge court fee - Even If i contested, I would still get stiffed. Well everybody, I guess I won't be making it to Moss Pointe this year - there goes all my travel money I've saved for that boogie. Let's hope those lottery investments pay off....=========Shaun ==========

I bet I could almost guess where it happened too...there are a few areas out there that you will ALWAYS get yanked. That's all I can think when I see a cop and I'm speeding...dammit, do you know how many jump tickets that'll cost if you pull me over?! Pam

skyedivr 0 #6 January 9, 2004 sux for me in chattanooga Police Memo Promises Rewards for "Points" A new memo has surfaced within the Chattanooga Police Department, promising rewards for officers who earn a certain number of points. It clearly states it's not supposed to be construed as a quota, but does outline a point system for certain citations and arrests. Any officer who earns 120 points a month will get a special assignment or comp day. Lieutenant Toby Gilliam says it's nothing more than motivation for police in the Alpha District to slow folks down and save lives, but some drivers we showed the memo to say there are better ways to boost incentive. Savannah O'Brien says, "At the end of the month, you can tell the police are trying to get their quotas because they're out in force and doing speeders and i don't agree with speeding, but that's what i think it's really about." Officials say it's not about a quota since the memo states that officers who don't participate won't be punished.my power is beyond your understanding. Unstable 9 #7 January 9, 2004 I guess we gotta pay for the roads somehow - And with our Idiot Govoner Sebelius at the helm of the state, we need all the help we can get.=========Shaun ==========
Unstable 9 #8 January 9, 2004 QuoteShaun. How long have you lived in Kansas? Don't you know that the middle of now where is somewhere to a bored hypo! I've lived here 20 years (all my life). These cops should be out stopping drunk drivers or patrolling our neighborhoods - not sitting out in the middle of no where trying to earn the state some $. Oh well, I bitched and moaned for a while and Now I've cooled off. It cost me 6 lift tickets...... =========Shaun ==========

bch7773 0 #15 January 9, 2004 nahh got busted speeding back to manhattan. it was over $100 can't remember exactly how much. luckily, i don't think it will appear on my insurance, as I've heard that the insurance companies only check your record in a few states nearby. since I'm insured in north carolina, im hoping they won't find it. osuskydiver 0 #16 January 9, 2004 Should have said you were a fellow law enforcement officer. They usually take care of their own. I am MP but the few times I do get pulled over I make sure to slip it into the conversation. Gets me off the hook. You should come up with some clever story about how you are Law Enforcement if you want to continue to speed, it may help. By the time you read this you have already read it.
