freeflir29 0 #1 January 12, 2004 Cheese and rice!!! How do you northerners that skydive manage to live here. This winter crap has to go. I haven't made a skydive since October. I've gained at least 10 pounds. My car is going to rust away. It's insane.....I just looked at the forecast. For the next 5 days it's snow. EVERY DAY!!! The HIGHS will be anywhere between 37 and 14 I need to win the lotto so I can go back south. There's NO WAY I can stay here and survive.
Daizey 0 #2 January 12, 2004 QuoteThe HIGHS will be anywhere between 37 and 14 ahh that sounds like a heatwave to me here in NY! Woke up yesterday morning and it was -12 degrees. Warmed up to a whole 5 degrees during the day....today and the next few days its supose to be warmer, 20's and 30's for the highs...then its back to single digits and negative temps again It sucks cause I finally got cleared to jump again, but i think ill be waiting a little while.... *daizey*
RoadRash 0 #3 January 12, 2004 Dude, join the crowd...I haven't jumped since the first week of November...I have definitely gained some extra pounds, and am almost positive that I will lose my mind if I don't make a skydive in the next couple of weeks...luckily...that has been arranged...teehee...~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Fly the friendly skies...^_^...})ii({...^_~... slug 1 #4 January 12, 2004 Dress for success and do what the locals do. Look at the bright side no one is shooting at you, and if worst comes to worst you can always leave. Just start planning your escape now so when you leave it's on your terms and in the meantime you can always raise sheep to nurture during those long cold weekends when your stuck at home. If a guy can keep a lion in a apartment in NYC a couple of sheep shouldn't be a problem. R.I.P.
freeflir29 0 #5 January 12, 2004 Quoteluckily...that has been arranged...teehee.. Bastard!!! I have to wait until the Mardi Gras boogie on the 22nd of FEB. Winter is SO depressing. QuoteJust start planning your escape now so when you leave it's on your terms That's the bad part. The US Govt is paying me a TRUCKLOAD of money to stay here. It's almost like a curse. Here's a REALLY kick ass job and we're going to pay you well.....but you get to live in Cleveland.

EricaH 0 #21 January 12, 2004 Yup, layers & a winter dz... that's the only way. Also, when I moved up from FL, they told me my blood would thicken, I'd get use to it... to that I call BS! However, after a week of highs round 10 & a wind-chill high of almost 0... today's 32 degrees @ 7 AM felt like spring - guess they weren't totally lying. There is no can't.
