KMonster 0 #1 January 14, 2004 I was in my physics lab and an army guy dressed in camies in the group next to mine had an airborne patch. I asked him if he was a skydiver and he started trying to impress me. He was talking about HALO jumps etc. then he starting talking about HAVLO (high altitude VERY low opening) jumps. He said he opens at like 1200ft and started telling me about how dangerous it is. I have a few very close friends in the military who are sport jumpers but they have never heard of HAVLO jumps and they are quite familiar with military jumping as well. Is this guy just full of it or has anyone actually heard of a HAVLO jump?
falxori 0 #2 January 14, 2004 actually i think there is such a thing. not sure about the altitude but i know some of our commando units do such things. and sometimes with scuba diving gear on them too but it doesnt mean that guy wasn't full of it O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
