grega 0 #27 January 14, 2004 Quote The answer you, and all humans have a fear of being eaten. Huh if sharks would know me and my hunger, i think they'd be more afraid that i'll bite them Yeah i know, actually you have more chance to die on a crossroad than being bitten by a shark... man with this post you florida people won't only convince bobsled to move there. i know i'm on a good way to make florida my home if i'll keep reading this post "George just lucky i guess!" prepheckt 0 #29 January 14, 2004 If you pick Arizona or New Mexico, hope you like the heat! With Eloy there, it's not a bad deal even in the summer...lots and lots of sunblock. I'm moving to Florida, but that's not on the list."Dancing Argentine Tango is like doing calculus with your feet." -9 toes
mfrese 0 #30 January 14, 2004 Read through all the pro-Florida posts, but didn't see anything about two big reasons why I want to move there: reaonable housing prices and no state income tax. Hell, I'm willing to learn to love NASCAR for those two things...Doctor I ain't gonna die, Just write me an alibi! ---- Lemmy/Slash
EricaH 0 #31 January 14, 2004 Oh, yah, florida has no state income tax - yahoo!! But it's a good thing, since most incomes are quite a bit lower than the rest of the country. Housing is MUCH less expensive. You can get a 2500^2 home for less than $200K... in an actual town. however you better make sure the foundation is supurb, cause otherwise you'll end up w/ HUGE mf sized palmetto bugs & they fly!! I'd pick GA, it has some seasons, has DZ, has a beach, has mountains, doesn't have quite as big of bugs. Either way, they are both not as hot as AZ, CA or most of TX. Sure it's humid, but that's why god invented AC. and to AirCav QuotePlus the fishing is great and the water much bluer( cleaner) than the Gulf What the heck are you talkin bout boy?!?!?! The Gulf is much better than the east coast. It has a 45degree temp range all year. The water MIGHT get to 68 in January (Atlantic rarely gets above 74). The gulf doesn't have as much seaweed, rocks, dead fish or sharks on it's shores. Gulf sand is made of seashells, not ROCKS! On the east coast, you touch the sand, your feet are dirty, like black tar dirty. Nothing beats Clearwater/Tampa/Sarasota area - NOTHING! unless you're somewhere w/ Mountains... I sure do miss those. There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. PMS #227 (just like the TV show)
WILDBILLAQR 0 #32 January 14, 2004 ARIZONA! We have a very good economy, great weather 10 months out of the year, 3 DZs within 1 hour of Phx, San Deigo 5 hours away for the 2 months that it does suck, mountains 2 hours north, and lots of places for your wife to go 4 wheeling!---------------------------------------------- "Thats not smoke, thats BUCKEYE!!" Kramer 0 #33 January 14, 2004 QuoteIf you like Florida, please say why(I want to show it to my wife) Bob (and Bob's wife if you're reading): I am a 19 year old college student in Indiana. I went down to Florida over Christmas Break to do AFF at ZHills. Now, I am in the process of transfering down to the University of South Florida. If you had asked me before I left to go down there, if I thought that I would transfer colleges, I would have bet a lot of money on the fact that I wouldn't. I like Ball State, it's a nice college, no complaints. But after being in Florida for a few days...well, it just felt like home. That's where I want to be. At the very least, go down there for a week or so, hang out at ZHills or Deland or something, and see what you think. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!! HeatherB 0 #34 January 15, 2004 QuoteYou can't really go outside and do anything without melting in the humidity. Guess you don't do many jumps in the summers then? (in between the rain showers) To me it's only really bad July-Sep. Those are the months where you wear as little clothes as possible while jumping! (That should get some guys to move down...chicks packing while practically naked!) As far as FL goes, one of the reasons I am glad I moved back here after college is that I was able to buy a house at age 23 even though I didn't make a ton of money. (I'm 26 now) The large majority of my friends up north (PA, NY, NJ, etc) haven't even thought of buying houses yet, too damn expensive, unless you want to buy a complete fixer-upper. That's cool. I didn't expect to still be married this year but, we got it back together and if we decide to keep it that way, then we plan to go warmer and she can't take humidity. I was harmed by high voltage when I was 26 and the medication thinned my blood. I don't sweat below 90 degrees now._______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/
