Help!! Decorating room for boy and girl?

Recommended Posts

I'm moving into a 2 bedroom house and need ideas or suggestions on how to decorate the "kids" room. I have a 2yr old rough and tumble, planes, trains and automobile kind of a boy and a delicate 5month old sweet as pie, rosy cheeked girl. Do I draw an invisible line? Half boy half girl? I'm an entomologist so I thought about having a bug theme and going unisex, but that doesn't float my boat all that much. Any suggestions would be appreciated. :)
I like coconuts. You can break them open and they smell like ladies lying in the sun!

Decorate the room with basic bright primary colors. If you want a theme use something like disney babies or clowns. I would try to stick with primary colors because pastels, sweet (and unisex) and it may be, gets dirty much easier, take it from me. As unappealing as it may be to you, I can't see another solution beside something unisex.
Good Luck :)

That's exactly what I was gonna suggest......disney babies! Or perhaps you could do something with planets/sun/moon & stars.

when i was growing up i had a wallpaper with a pic of the earth as taken from the moon.
not sure why, but i used to just stare at it before going to sleep.
be careful what you put there thoguth, things that might look innocent to you, might cause trauma to a child (one specific african tribal mask at my grandparent's house casued me a few nightmares when i was a kid...)

hmmm, these forums are like therapy sometimes ;)
