ChasingBlueSky 0 #1 January 13, 2004 Ok, this one has me scratching my head. I have WMPv9 on my PC at work, and just recently installed WinAmp5. Audio on WinAmp and WMP is now playing in double time, making even deep voices sound like hyper chipmunks. I have the same setup at home (Except for the OS - 2000Pro at work, XP Pro at home). Any ideas? I've quickly went thru the WinAmp menus and didn't see anything about speed or pitch of audio, or on WMP._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... AggieDave 6 #2 January 13, 2004 Check to see where you're outputting in WinAmp. Direct or Wav...if one, try the other... Anyways, know why there wasn't a version 4 of WinAmp?--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Because it was going to be the upgrade to the botched v3, and they trashed that entire project after MAJOR issues. Good idea gone bad, I never had the courage to install v3_________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again..... ChasingBlueSky 0 #7 January 16, 2004 OK fellow geeks - I am at a loss here. My PC is still playing everything at high speed. I've uninstalled WinAmp, and even unistalled/installed my Sound Card. Audio, including redbook/CD audio in WMP9, is playing at high speed (imagine a 33 record playing at 45). I have the latest updates for WMP and even DirectX....the only thing I haven't tried is seeing if there are updated drivers... OS is Win2K Pro, and I was able to talk the tech guys into giving me admin rights._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me....
