kansasskydiver 0 #1 January 19, 2004 What's the best way to create a border around an image with curved edges? I am extremely confused and can't think it through and I know it's probably REALLY easy... chris<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist!

quade 4 #4 January 19, 2004 Can you find an example of the type of thing you're talking about? I mean, I could give you advice on different techniques all day, but if I know kinda of what you're looking for, it might take a little less time. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
Shotgun 1 #5 January 19, 2004 If the image is in it's own layer, you can select that layer, then (from the top menu) click on "Layer", "Layer Style", "Stroke" which will bring up a dialogue box where you can adjust the border around the image. Does that help at all?
kansasskydiver 0 #6 January 19, 2004 geez i knew that was much more simple that i thought it was. next question, how do i make the image have curved edges instead of 90 degree edges??!?!?!<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist!
Shotgun 1 #7 January 19, 2004 Hmm, not sure about that one... And not sure I understand exactly what you mean... Weren't you already working with an image with curved edges???

weegegirl 2 #9 January 19, 2004 use the rectangular selector tool and at the top tool bar it will give you an option to put a "feather" in. use something like 20 pixels for a rounded edged rectangle. select the area of the picture you want with that tool and paste it into a new file. (easiest way - less explanation) then use the stroke tool to add the border.
