lawrocket 3 #1 January 20, 2004 My fiancee and I don't exactly have a whole helluva lot of money. But, we also don't have much time, so our apartment can really get messy. We're keeping it up okay, but we could never have that "really clean and comfortable" look to it. So, a ouple of months ago, she got a cleaning lady. Every other week for 40 bucks. Let me tell you. I was dubious at first, but Maria kicks ass! I'm seriously looking forward to coming home tonight. The place will be clean and organized. Even if you are on a shoestring budget, I'd recommend getting a professional housecleaner. The relaxation of a clean, tidy and organized place is as good as a massage, costs less, and lasts longer. Goodness, I love that lady! Anybody else have them? My wife is hotter than your wife.

PhillyKev 0 #3 January 20, 2004 I've been planning to get one for awhile. But, I need to get around to the initial organization in the first place.
EdC 0 #4 January 20, 2004 Yeah, $40 every other Friday. Chase does a great job and she lets the dogs out while she is cleaning. It is nice to come home to a clean house. Big Ed

lawrocket 3 #9 January 20, 2004 Quotetell me something... Do you find yourself cleaning up for the cleaning lady? Actually, yes. To a degree. For example, I hate folding laundry. So, I did all the laundry and it is waiting to be folded. I also ran the full dishwasher yesterday so it can be unloaded and loaded with other dirties. Things like that. jlmiracle 7 #12 January 20, 2004 I had one when we lived in an apartment and we spent all our time at the dz, but since we have a house (kinda in the country) they are harder to come by. Actually, if I could make the same money I do now, I would clean houses in a heart beat. I wouldn't want to be someone's "live-in maid" but I would gladly show up once a week to clean their house. I guess I'm really burned out in my current job. JudyBe kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Neither do I, but I resisted too long and I like cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming and anything else she does a lot less! -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. ACMESkydiver 0 #14 January 20, 2004 I have care-givers that also clean. The absolute BEST part about them is when I'm home playing with my babies, they do the stuff that I don't want to...like cooking dinner, and doing laundry, and vacuuming. Then I can play 'Low-bridge' with my twins (they like to drag me to the stairs, have me sit down, and crawl under my legs like trolls under a bridge ) or do homework with my daughter. And a clean house feels SO welcome! It's a happy feeling.~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
