Why do you think we invaded Iraq?

I said in the beginning, and I'll say it here: your poll options are skewed, and don't seem like an honest questioning for the truth. Because of that, you left out a huge reason. And because you are posting simply to stir up people, yes, then Jim's comment fits.

I honestly start the post because I'm honestly interested in what people think, whether or not I agree with it. How could you possibly know my motivations for posting. AS I said before, I'd like to know what option you think is so glaringly obvious that I left out. (you can even PM it to me if you like). As for sources, see the one above in regards to my original post about showing you mine. And now for some more:

About Iraq's Nuclear capabilities:
http://www.washingtoninstitute.org/watch/Policywatch/policywatch1998/301.htm
http://www.fas.org/news/iraq/2002/ciareport.htm

So according to these, I think the concensus was, he may be working on them, he may not, we'd sure like to know.

But Bush said he was buying uranium in Africa...

http://abcnews.go.com/sections/world/US/uranium030714_timeline.html

Just a start, damn, would someone please tell me how to do that clicky thing, it's been a while since i've written html.

And then there's the whole question of why they didn't tell us about this in the beginning...

http://www.philly.com/mld/dailynews/2003/01/27/news/local/5025024.htm

Maybe you guys have heard about the "Project for the New American Century", these are the guys who basically lay out the foreign policy of the Bush administration. Here were their ideas for the middle east before we ever thought about a war on terror:

http://www.newamericancentury.org/iraqmiddleeast2000-1997.htm

So, hmm, why was it that Bush told us during his campaign that he would pursue a "humble foreign policy"? Why didn't he tell us that all the people he was going to hire wanted to invade Iraq sight unseen. Maybe because he thought that would lose him the election?

Ok how about its a JOB Program to employ all the unemployed people who do not have jobs with the economy being down the toilet.. I mean at this point its a WHOLE lot easier to get people to enlist.. rather than to be out of work... out of unemployment.. and not really seeking a McJob.;)

Yeah thats it... and ALL the money they pay to Halliburton... is being trickled down to needy millionaires in where is it... oh yeah.. Texas.

Finding out what people honestly think is fine, but the choices listed in this poll are rather slanted and betray that honest curiosity.

As for other missing options, how about one about backing up and following through on U.N. Resolutions?

Before we start worrying about enforcing the UN resolutions maybe we should worry about paying our DUES

But seriously, the US, and a Republican administration, talking about enforcing UN resolutions is a joke. I for one am of the opinion that the only reason we went to the UN before going to Iraq is to delegitimize its role.

Plus, you don't see us, nor do I think we should invade Israel although they regularly ignore UN mandates.
