I've never directly met either Rook or Missy, but from a distance, they do seem to be wonderfully delightful people. Busy, but delightful. Usually they walk up to someone jumping solo and ask if they can jump with you. They've done it to me a few times....how cool is that to have world record holders ask if they can jump with you. I remember because it was the week the heater, fan, windshield wipers, radio and windows all broke at the same time. I had to drive from Midway to Schaumburg four times that week during rush hour. I kept an ice scrapper in my hand the entire time so I could scrape my breath off the windshield. I purchased a new car that Sat, wonder why. ChasingBlueSky 0 #200 January 22, 2004 Well, being unemployed most of the year kept me away from SDC a lot, and I didn't get a chance to travel to any of the other Chicago DZs because of that. I'll get back up there again this year. As Andy said - plenty of space to avoid the swoopers...and that patch of land to the north of the fuel truck is hardly used by anyone - it is always a safe out away from the crowds. Some people are prone to ear infections if they get water stuck in there - since the pond is part of a campground, the state sends out an inspector to test the water often.
