Ok, so I hear tell that to show someone great respect in Spain, you kiss the persons cojones.

If this is true, would there be any Spanish lady out there willing to show me great respect:$

Don't confuse COJONES and CAJONES those are 2 different things. ;)

Then why are they spelled the same?

Spelled the same?...or PRONOUNCED almost the same :). Both are spanish words and spelled and pronounced different.

The first one means...you know...the...you know OK OK THE BALLS OK??!!!! :D:D and the second means Big box or crate.

Oh, Sorry, that's what I get for reading a post so fast. I didn't see the difference in the "A" and the "O".

Well, I'd rather kiss the Cajones that I have a link set up for.

i'm not worried about anyone kissing cajones.

and his RB name was originally spelled wrong, it should have been Cojones.

but now some of us also call him C.A. Jones, because someone thought that's was Cajones was...

lots of variations.

You can always substitute "Huevos" for that too. I think that's more Mexican/Central America slang than Castillian though.

LOL!! Some of the guys from work, who speak very very little english, were teaching a server some slang...I overheard it. They asked me what I thought was said. I translated what they said as....I have many eggs. Thinking huevos meant eggs. They laughed so hard, they were crying. Apparently, they were saying....I have big balls. I say my translation was just about right on! ;)

OMG......that's hilarious!!! :D I'm sure they were having mucho fun at your expense. It's kinda funny....I have a leg up on a lot of people when it comes to Spanish. Although I'm FAR from fluent I know LOTS of slang terms because I have picked it up from native speakers. My friend was just telling me about being all confused (He learned Spanish in the Border Patrol Academy) when he had a guy urgently telling him that he needed to "Throw water." :D
