freeflir29 0 #29 January 21, 2004 OK.....yes.......I found Alana and Steph. Alana also showed me a place to get relatively cheap beer. The Weatherspoon seems OK and the pints were A HELL OF A LOT CHEAPER than the 5 quid I paid across from Victoria Station. Just so you Londoners know.....I was posting from an internet cafe just across from the station. If you leave from Burger King, cross the street and then go right it's only about 1/2 a block. Anyway, just one question. How the hell do you people afford ANYTHING in that town. I went out last night. Rode the tube all over, spent 6.50 (BP) on some Haddock, and stopped at numerous pubs along the way for refreshments. I spent about $100 USD last night!!!!!! I might have spent less in New York. I did get a laugh thinking of all of you today. I was filling out my customs form and got to the box that says "Have you had any close contact with farms, fields, or LIVE STOCK Of course.....I said no..... I have several more trips over so the fun is just begining!!!!!!!
Zeemax 0 #30 January 22, 2004 Ah yes, good old weatherspoons. Its a ntional chain of pubs known for cheap beer If anyone else needs to use the internet at victoria, rather than walking as far as clay did, there are a number of internet payphones dotted around the station, much easier Also, there is a weatherspoons on the station, you should have gone there The tubes ok if you have a season pass or something, then you can ride limitless for a set price. Yup, its very expensive here. No do you understand why everyone in the UK moans? That and our customer service is shite. £6.50 still seems pretty high for fish and chips though.
