MNskyjumper 0 #27 January 25, 2004 Stormy Weather Headed Into Minnesota Jan 25, 2004 12:46 pm US/Central Chanhassen (AP) Minnesotans are bracing for a winter storm that is moving into the state and is expected to bring heavy snow to some areas through tomorrow. From six to 12 inches of snow is expected over much of western and northern Minnesota today, with more snow possible in some areas. Light to moderate snow developed over much of western Minnesota overnight with several inches already on the ground in some areas. The snow will spread slowly east overnight, into southeastern Minnesota. Accumulations will be a little less in the east, but significant accumulations are still possible. Snow will linger across the east tomorrow, and will begin to taper off in the west tomorrow morning. A winter storm warning is in effect for northwestern and southwestern Minnesota, a heavy snow warning for the northeast begins tonight and a winter storm watch begins tonight for east-central and southeastern Minnesota. Monday's commute should be fun. Kevin W.
ChasingBlueSky 0 #28 January 25, 2004 Lake effect snow is always interesting - 3 inches of snow fell in the downtown area while I was at work yesterday, then I head about a mile south of the city and there was no new snow._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... hooked 0 #30 January 25, 2004 You know, somehow, I just knew it would snow a lot after I left! I managed to have a great time anyway, the 'cold' there is a lot different than 'cold' here in the NW.
