These types of activities were the norm for King's speaking and organizing tours.

Dude, I'm going to surprise a lot of Anvil-haters on here by disagreeing with you. Yes, what you posted is the undeniable truth but it doesn't take anything away from the man's accomplishments as a civil rights leader. Everyone in the nation - and world - would do well to live his dream and judge all solely by the content of their mind, heart, and character.

Zero-defect syndrome has caused us to prevent a myriad of very qualified folks from serving their nation in a public capacity - be it via a federal judicial appointment, ambassadorship, or running for office. Can't say as I agree with you here.

Aww Vinny.. I dont hate you.. you know that... I have to agree with you on this one. All human beings are flawed in some way. I know it is shit. I just would really like some of the uneducated people to know the other side of MLK. I happen to be at a University in which everyone thinks he is a damn hero. Sure he did some good, but so have a lot of other people that don't have there own day. Hell, MLK day is a national holiday and everyone gets school/work off for it. I don't get school off for Presidents day or Veterans day and I respect those holidays.

Amen...Vinny! I'm from the South originally and I love everyone and believe in peace amongst us all. It's only as I grow older that I have realize unconditional love for everyone. It's only when I've been intentionally hurt by someone that I'll cross them off my list of loved ones. Otherwise, I look at the fact that everyone I meet that they are crossing my path for a reason.
