Not the first time I have ever heard of this, and the end of the gulf stream would cause some major issues.

I was told when I was in Ireland that the gulf steam is what made it possible for tropical plants to grow in certain parts of Ireland. Yup, Dublin was the first place I ever saw a palm tree.

I changed all my light bulbs to those low wattage ones to offset the fuel economy of my very large SUV. Just doing my part.

Just another example of why we can't wait for "proof" that global warming is real. By the time we have the proof it will be to late. And even if we are wrong about human contribution to global warming cleaning up the environment is still good for us.

I do ride the Harley a lot. Over 5,000 miles per year, but I'm too old to ride on a long trip. Plus my GF has to take all those "womanly things" when we go away for a week or more.

Like I said ride the Harley. If your too old to take it on long trips, then man, you're too old. Give it up to a young stud like me. Harley's should not be towed, total waste there. As for her stuff, if the Suzuki can't take it she needs to economize, learn some packing skills etc...

Well if you've done much riding, you would know what I mean. I got a Fat Boy, so its a pretty good size bike and it's a soft-tailwhich makes it pretty comfortable on the road. A day or so isn't bad but it isn't much fun going on a trip with the gf and not being able to even talk to her for hours. Beside, the Harley get about 40mpg and if the Suzuki get say 32 mpg thats about 3.5 GPH combined. Add wear and tear, depreciation for mileage on 2 vehicles and factor in communication with the GF and it just make more sense to tow it on a long trip.

Well my basic thought is sell my car, buy a bike which is much less than what I sell my car for, and use the difference toward a rig
