PhillyKev 0 #1 January 27, 2004 A quantitative equity investment manager with $15 billion in assets, is seeking an associate in the portfolio management and research area. The firm is an independent investment counsel founded in 1984, providing domestic equity management to institutional investors. The candidate’s responsibilities would include assisting with the day-to-day management of nearly 100 client portfolios and helping with the collection and analysis of equity data from a variety of sources. A successful candidate will evolve to assist with improvements to the investment process itself, in the areas of stock selection, risk management, and trade cost management. Relevant skills include accounting, financial analysis, and statistics, as well as systems and programming. A BS/BA is required, and a CFA or MBA are plusses, as is knowledge of U.S. equity markets. Fluency with the written and spoken word, self-motivation, and the desire to put in lots of hours are all highly prized. We offer outstanding compensation, both in terms of salary and benefits. PM me for details on applying. Don't want to post addresses, etc in public. P.S. We're in Center city Philadelphia.

quade 4 #5 January 27, 2004 I sometimes wish I could put a timed lock on a thread. Ya know, let it stay open for 24 hours so people can see it and then let it automatically lock so it dies. We've removed threads like this in the past because they violate the "No Advertising" rule, but I'd feel like a total asshat if there was someone out there that needed this fairly specialized job and didn't get the opportunity to see this. Let's try to keep the thread from catching on fire with lame assed one liners and I'll keep it up as long as nobody puts up a serious stink. Good luck to you and anyone that needs a gig.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
