I think skydivexxl and I should be put on government contract to deal with these folks once captured. A couple of baseball bats, some tequilla (for me; Andy can't have any; it's mine; I claim it first) and a few starving crocodiles to eat the broken carcasses before they die would be all that would be required. Much cheaper than incarceration. Sometimes I wonder at the ban of 'cruel and unusual punishments' but I guess that's part of what makes our country great. I guess I'm glad it's there - no; I KNOW I'm glad it's there. Still, sometimes I wish it could be waived....

PK hit the nail on the head. Or maybe even if we dedicated more resources to treatment and other social programs. Drug use is never gonna stop (lets take away beer too, it's a drug!), we as a society need to learn to deal with it in some other way than declaring "war". The war stops around 22% of all foreign shipments. There are entire areas of Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia which exist on primarily marijuana based economies. The war only props up artificially high prices, adds incentive to do rotten things, and criminalizes users who are then afraid to seak treatment at the risk of being prosecuted.

I was an infant drug mule, and I turned out JUST FINE thank you very much. I learned a lot. I think. I was pretty young and don't remember too much, plus I think I absorbed a lot of the stuff through my skin because the cocaine bags weren't sealed very well, so I have a few twitches now and again.

But how many people can say they have been to Turkey, Columbia, Mexico, Egypt, Oman, and a whole host of other countries as a child? Not many, I'll bet.
